Coy Lee Dalton Granger, 92, of Little Rock, died on August 9, 2011. She was born on April 30, 1919 in Troy, AR to Mattie Gena and Peter John Dalton. The youngest of eight, she was precede in death by five brothers - Carl, Dallas, Bentley, Perry, and Roy; and two sisters, Elby Gaston and Katie Mae Crain. She is survived by sister-in-law, Dell Dalton (Roy) of Orlando, Fla., and 14 beloved nieces and nephews. Coy was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Elmer Granger (Waldo, Ark.). She is survived by three daughters: Patsy Lewellyn (Ron) of Aiken, S.C.; Janis Faust (Robert) of Conway; and Peggy Morrow (Melton) of North Little Rock. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Casey Lewellyn (Bryan) Young (Aiken, S.C.), Aaron (Ada) Christopher (Riverside, Calif.), Kevin Wayne (Debra) Lyon (Fayetteville), Rebekah (Branden) Stroth (Conway), and Stella Morrow (North Little Rock) and four great-grandchildren: Madison and McKinley Stroth and Granger and Knox Young. Coy was a graduate of Camden High school. She studied at Henderson State Teachers College and was a graduate of St. Vincent's School of Nursing (Little Rock). She was an R.N. for Little Rock OB/GYN Dr. B.J. Reeves, the Baptist Hospital, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. In retirement she served as Director of Nursing of the Florence Crittenden Home. Mr. and Mrs. Granger were members of the Robert B. Moore Bible Class, Asbury Methodist Church, where she faithfully attended since moving to Little Rock in 1939 until her death. The family will receive visitors at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, on Friday, August 12, 6-8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at Asbury Methodist Church, 1700 Napa Valley Dr. on Saturday, August 13 at 3 p.m., followed by interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
