Jeff Hungate unexpectedly departed this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. A graduate of the University of Southern California, he was in the Air Force, world traveler, inventor and President of H Factor- his own business. As a youngster he moved to West Fork, Arkansas where he was All State in Football 1984. He entered the Air Force in 1986 and was later attached to a Navy Seal unit. His list of achievements and awards include 2 Air Force Commendation Medals, 4 Purple Hearts, Armed Forces Meritorious Service Medal 1991, Air Force Bronze Star 1991, Israeli Defense Star of David Medal 1991 and the US Navy Commendation Medal 1991 In 2009, he was presented the keys to a city in Florida, for his oil-spill containment invention and environmentalism. Jeff was also an expert horsemen, former rancher, and avid outdoorsman. He leaves behind his fiance' Rita Price, her daughter Ali Price who loved him as a father. He is also survived by his children, Hannah, Pearce and Chance, and many family and friends who loved him, as well as a legacy of courage and the spirit of adventure. Having just returned from a reunion with his military compatriots in Kentucky, he was also planning a wedding trip to the Caribbean and a bear hunting expedition to Alaska. A life writ large, his warm hugs and effulgent smile will be sorely missed by many friends and loved ones the world over. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday August 15th, 2011 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515.
