Otto Rollwage Bridgforth

Otto Rollwage Bridgforth, Jr., age 76, of Nashville, Arkansas, formerly of Forrest City, died Friday, August 12, 2011. He was born July 17, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee, to his late parents, Otto Rollwage Bridgforth and Blanche Jones Bridgforth of Forrest City. Otto graduated from Forrest City High School in 1956, and lived there until moving to Booneville in 1977. Otto loved music and wrote beautiful poetry. He loved caring for other people and feeding the birds and squirrels around his home. He has been described by many as the kindest person they had ever known. While in Forrest City, he was an active member of the Episcopal Church and a founding member of the Episcopal Youth Fellowship there. He is survived by his brother, William C. "Bill" Bridgforth of Pine Bluff, three nephews, William McShane Bridgforth and David Rollwage Bridgforth, both of Pine Bluff, and John Patrick Bridgforth of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three great nephews and three great nieces. Funeral services will be at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Forrest City at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 14, with burial at the Forrest Park Cemetery.
