David L. Cox

David L. Cox Sr. "Chief" of England went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011. He was born Dec. 21, 1922 in Little Rock, Ark. to Chesley Cox and Lillie Howard Cox. Dave was a car dealer, co- owner of Cox Brothers Pontiac in England, Ark., a Thoroughbred Breeder and Racer and loved drag racing. He was a Methodist, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a veteran of WWII in the Normandy Invasion. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Otis; three sisters, Bessie, Mabel and Opal. His survivors are two sons, Dave L. Cox Jr.; and his wife, Sherry of Bryant, Ark. and Danny Cox and his wife Rachel of England, Ark.; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Britney and Ashley, one great-grandchild, Stayton; one brother, Roy Cox of England, Ark.; nieces, nephews and extended family.
