Lois Darlene Guymon, 81, of Ward, Ark., went to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011. She was born Aug. 27, 1929 in Tonti Township, Ill., to the late John and Lulu Alice Smith Barrall. Lois retired from Southern Illinois University as the General Stores Manager where she purchased goods for the university. She loved to travel to Branson and listen to Southern Gospel music and was an avid sports fan, especially the Cardinals. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Cabot. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Everett Raymond Guymon, four brothers and two sisters. Lois is survived by her daughter Gwendolyn Cope and grandson, Landon Nicholas Cope, both of Ward, a sister-in-law, Pat Barrall of Salem, Ill., and a brother-in-law, Lyle Stephens of Midwest City, Okla., as well as a host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
