Sam M. Hayre

Sam M. Hayre, 85, of Morrilton, passed away August 15, 2011. He was born March 7, 1926, the son of Robert S. and Minnie F. Jones Hayre of Oppelo. Sam retired from the Kroger Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of Morrilton First Assembly of God. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Syble, Iva, Eva and Fleda; four brothers, Malvin, Paul, Robert Jr. (Bob), and a twin brother, John Williard; and granddaughter, Shannon Hayre. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Ellenise Clayton Hayre; three sons, Sam Hayre Jr. (Gail) of Benton, Billy Hayre (Cathy) of Alexander, Jerry Hayre (Beverly) and one daughter, Karen Brown (Kenny) all of Morrilton; seven grandchildren, Monia, Jessica, B.J., Clayton, Callie, Katelyn and Kendall; six great-grandchildren, Maggie, Hadley, Lilli, Kaley, Aymsley and Shade. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, August 18, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Euna Mae Gibby and Rev. Joe Alzate officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, at the funeral home.
