Anthony Wayne Owens

Anthony Wayne Owens of Grapevine, Arkansas was born December 31, 1960 in Fordyce, Arkansas, the son of Donnie Owens and the late Frances Lou House. He was a self-employed logger, enjoyed hunting and catfishing, as well as softball, boxing and riding his motorcycle. Wayne died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Jefferson County as a result of an accident, at the age of 50. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his great uncle and aunt, Booth and Lizzie D. Owens. Survivors: Fiancé, Tammy Anderson of Grapevine; Daughter, Cassie Howard of Hermitage; Father, Donnie Owens of Grapevine; Brothers, James Michael Owens of Grapevine; John Darren Shaddock of Hot Springs; Step- Brother, Randy Threlkeld of Prattsville; Grandchild, Blaine Howard. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Gwin and Bro. Mark Tracy officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery at Grapevine. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
