Ernest Page "Pete" Marter

Ernest Page "Pete" Marter, 68, of Marion, Ark., passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his residence. He was a cattle rancher and a farmer; was the previous owner/operator of Marion BP and was a member of Angel's Way Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Sue Marter and his father, Page Marter. Mr. Marter is survived by his wife, Diana Ford Marter of Marion, Ark.; one daughter, Cindy Moe of Kentucky; one granddaughter, Toni Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; his mother, Dorothy Jean Marter of Marion, Ark.; two sisters, Jeanine Marter and Shirley Vance, both of Marion, Ark.; two brothers, Eugene Marter of Marion, Ark. and Lester Marter of Searcy. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark. The funeral service will be Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following the service in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.
