Katie Louise Vance went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 18, 2011 after a long battle with Cancer. Katie was born on April 19, 1940 in Caldwell, Arkansas to Ollie and Allie Devazier who precede her in death along with her three brothers, Winston, Shorty and Elbert Devazier. She is also preceded by her husband Clarence and one child Janie. She leaves six children behind to cherish her memories; Linda (Frank) Robinson of Victoria, Texas, Kay (Wayne) Summerville, William (Phillis) Vance, Faye Manning (fiancée Bo), Thomas (Debra) Vance, Sally (Clay) Henry, all of Lonoke; she also leaves 17 grandchildren, James (Karina) Wilson, Penny and Robert Grist, Cindy and April Summerville, Bud Smith, Stephanie (Steve) McCallie, J.R. Vance, B.J. (Jessica), Ricky and Jenny Manning, Steven and Heather Pierce, Joe Vance, Christina and Kimberly Henry, and nine wonderful great-grandchildren, Tyler and Riley Wilson, Chasity Abshure, Christian and Ashlee McCallie, Alyssa Manning, Abellah Pierce, and Blade and Bryar Brown. Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, August 21 at Lonoke First Assembly Church with Pastor Derek Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Weedon Cemetery.
