Melvin Lee Milner

MELVIN LEE MILNER, age 74, found eternal peace on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011. He was born on Aug. 12, 1937 in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Everett W. Milner and Laura E. Hughett Milner. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Everett Eugene Milner and one great-nephew, Larry William Hutton. He is survived by his sister, Margery Mealman (A. Raymond), nephews, Michael Hutton (Linda), Gregory, Paul and Jimmy Milner, and one niece, Janel Milner. Melvin served his country aboard a destroyer in the U.S. Navy as a Sonar Chief Petty Officer. He was an ordained Minister and a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at 10 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park Memorial Park.
