Jimmy Phillip

Jimmy Phillips, 73, of Newport departed this life Saturday, August 20, 2011. He was born March 8, 1938 and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Arkansas Steel. He was preceded in death by one son; Michael Phillips, his parents; Grover Carl and Rebecca (Howlett) Phillips, and one grandson; Alan Timm. He is survived by one son; James Lee Phillips and wife Christine of Lakewood, Pennsylvania, two daughters; Beckie Phillips Figura and husband David of Lake Como, Pennyslvania, Cynthia Phillips Norris of Newport, one brother; Carl Phillips of Corning, one sister; Sharon Manatt and husband Scott of Pocahontas, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, special friend; Jetta Hodge of Newport and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday at Dillinger Chapel with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-8 p.m., Tuesday.
