E. G. Van Train

E.G. Van Train died at home August 24, 2011. He was born January 6, 1920. Mr. Van Train is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kay Van Train; a niece, Debbie Edwards (Jackie); step-daughters, Carolyn Halsell (Dick)and Gay Adair; step grandchildren, Scot Halsell (Allison),John Christian Halsell (Jill), Annabell Easley (Justin), Dakota Cronin and Flannery Cronin; step great-grandchildren,Blake and Davis Halsell and Truett and Avery Easley. Mr. Van Train served four years in the US Air Force as a P38 pilot during World War II. He was a 60 year member of "Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association" and a member of First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs. He loved working on his ranch. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs or charity of one's choice. Graveside service will be held Friday, August 26, at 2 p.m. at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
