Mabel Ritter

Mabel "Memaw" Ritter, 81, of Bigelow, went to be with the Lord Aug. 26, 2011. She was born Nov. 9, 1929, in Houston, Ark., to the late H.A. and Ruth Hill. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gene Ritter and two sisters. Memaw is survived by nine children, Mickey Hill, Kathy Blair Salerno Rainwater (Bill), LeAnn Wellinghoff (Joe), David Ritter (Christy), Alan Ritter (Frances), Jayne Rappold Fahle, Le Ritter (Lynette), Rita McClure McDaniel and Joe Ritter (Vanessa); 26 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; two sisters and three brothers; and her extended Cajun family in Louisiana. A special thanks to her caring angel Tracy, Mrs. Brothers, along with many others. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was very active in the church and local community, she was a member of the Perry Co. Extension Homemaker's Club, active in the Republican Party, 4-H, the Perry Co. Fair Association and many other organizations. There will be a Rosary Service at 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 28, in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 29, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, in Bigelow. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
