Martha Helen Trevathan Threlkeld

Martha Helen Trevathan Threlkeld, of Little Rock and formerly of Henderson, Kentucky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011. She was born August 1, 1923 in Henderson County, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert C. Trevathan and Ella Armstrong Trevathan of Henderson, Kentucky. She was married for 68 years to Harvey Warren Threlkeld who preceded her in death in 2009. Martha devoted her life to making a wonderful, warm and loving home for her husband and family. She loved to prepare family dinners and was a superb cook and enjoyed baking. A fond memory for her grandchildren was an annual Christmas cookie decorating in her kitchen during the holidays. After many years living in California, she and Warren returned to the southern region to be close to family. This enabled them to take cherished trips in their RV, several with their grandchildren. They also enjoyed travel abroad and camping with lifelong friends from California. In her free time she made beautiful and creative quilts and sewed for her children and grandchildren. Martha was a member of First Baptist Church Little Rock, but was always involved in the local church activities wherever she lived. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Wold and her husband, Bob of Minnesota and Jeanette Wagner and husband, Ken of Maumelle; two grandchildren, Matthew Philip Wagner and wife, Tresa of Springfield, Missouri and Jennifer Michelle Craig and husband, Randy of Maumelle; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Warren Craig and Miles Dickson Wagner; sister, Betty Jean Jeter of Boonville, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Maumelle Health and Rehab for Martha's excellent care in past years and Hospice Home Care's loving attention in recent days.
