Manuel Raymond "Ray" Garces

Manuel Raymond "Ray" Garces, age 75, of Crossett, AR passed away on November 29, 2011 at Ashley County Medical Center. He was born on April 17, 1936 to his parents, David F. and Esperanza Lopez Garces. Ray had served in the Air Force and was a technical writer. He enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Garces was a member of North Crossett First Baptist Church. Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Carreras; brothers, David Garces, Milton Biagi and sister, Juanita Garces. Survivors include his wife Claudia Parkhill Garces of Crossett, Ark.; one son, Anthony Charles Garces of Livingston, La.; three daughters, Anna Carreras Steelman of Slidell, La, Vicki Lea Garces of Centerville, Tenn., Donna Garces of Livingston, La.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robin Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark.. (www.jonesservice.com).
