Tyler Rush

Tyler Rush, 49, unexpectedly died on Saturday, Nov. 26, at his cabin in the Catskill Mountains, New York. Tyler is survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Melanie Hogue; his father, Ed; and his wife, Judy, of North Little Rock, Ark.; his sister, Tonya and her husband, Oscar Gibbs, and their two children, Ellsworth and Ellen, of Lebanon, N.H.; his many friends in New York and Arkansas. Tyler's mother, Joyce, died in 1988. Tyler graduated from North Pulaski High School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He worked at the New York Observer Newspaper and lived in Manhattan and enjoyed traveling to Canada, Nova Scotia, on his moose safaris, Japan, France, Spain, and, in 2007, took a two week safari to Kenya, Africa. But he enjoyed most traveling to Arkansas two or three times a year to socialize with his friends and go fishing with his buddies. Tyler was much loved by all and a memorial service will be held in New York. If you have an extra dollar or two this holiday season, please drop it off in the Red Buckets of the Salvation Army bell ringers in Tyler's name. He would appreciate that.
