Betty Louise Purdom

Betty Louise Purdom, 75, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011, due to terminal cancer. Betty was born to the late Luther and Annie Carter Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Estes Lewis and her loving husband, James Leon Purdom. Betty was of Baptist faith. She retired after twenty years of service with One Source Lumber Company. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and watching her grandchildren. Betty was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her children; Mike Purdom (Shin) of Atlanta, Ga., Debra Purdom of North Little Rock, Karen Gardner (Jimmy) of Romance, Marsha Reagan and Phillip Purdom of North Little Rock; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles Lewis of North Little Rock and her sister, Jo Ann Talbert of Little Rock. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (501-791-7400) with Reverend Tim Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.
