Olene Kent Lackner

Olene Kent Lackner, 96, of Little Rock, passed away December 5, 2011. Born in Evening Shade, Arkansas on July 2, 1915 to Robert Carrol and Della Gevenia Kent, she was a long-time member of Tyler Street Baptist Church. Her passions were arts and crafts and sewing. She retired from Hancock Fabrics. Preceded in death by her husband, William J. Lackner, Sr., three brothers, Noah, Daris and Ben Kent and three sisters, Gracie Vance, Edna Lasiter and Ethel Bray, she is survived by her son, Bill Lackner, Jr. of Little Rock; daughter, Cheryl Myers and husband, Mike of Bullard, Texas; brother, Wasson Kent and wife, Maxine of Hot Springs; and sisters, Lillian Johnson of Fayetteville and Iva Jewell Campbell of Cave City. Services will be held on Friday, December 9 at 1 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. James Hickman, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. The family will greet friends at the funeral home, beginning at noon until service time.
