Aubery Russell Cook

Aubery Russell Cook, age 94, of Biscoe, went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was born July 27, 1917, the son of Wesley Washington Cook and Linnie "Ashby" Cook. Russell enjoyed farming, hunting, and playing baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vida "Hall" Cook; parents, and step-mother, Mary Cook; grandson, Tommy Duncan; granddaughter, Peggy Brown; brothers, Morris, Rob, and Clell Cook; sister, Vivian Browning. Russell is survived by his brother, Joe Cook; his children, James Russell (Sherlean)Cook, Maxine Brown, Peggy Duncan, Lynda Hale, Willa (James) Volner, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; brother-in-laws, Loyd Hudson and Chester Hall; sister-in-laws, Iona Coker, Daisy Mae Hall, and Pearline Hall, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.., Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Biscoe Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
