Betty "Jane" Porter Taylor 66 of Little Rock passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Jane was born on August 10, 1945 to the late, Marshall and Sarah Robbins in New Albany, Mississippi. She retired from NAPA after 36 years of employment and she also was a member of The Brady Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Jane loved fishing, hunting, dancing and playing the slot machine. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend; she always found the good in everyone and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her most treasured times was spent with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband of 36 years, Eddie Porter; one brother, David R. Robbins and three sisters, Emily Gray, Shirley A. Robbins and Martha G. Robbins. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Harvey R. Taylor; two daughters, Paige Benton (Stan) and Tammy Milligan; two beloved grandchildren, Kayla and Brandon Milligan; two sisters, Linda Gray (Richard) of New Albany, MS and Sandra Doty (Elmer) of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Marshall Wayne Robbins (Sheila) and Jim Robbins of New Albany, Miss.; sister-in-law, Sharon Ambort of Mabelvale, Ark. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved and will miss her dearly. She was known as "Momma Jane" to her grandchildren and a host of dear friends. A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant 501-847-9099. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special appreciation to the nursing staff at St. Vincent Hospital 7 East and Arkansas Hospice 7 West.
