Ezra Alfred Pate, 86, of Judsonia, died December 10, 2011. He was born March 2, 1925 to the late Alfred and Mattie Roberson Pate at Floral, Arkansas. He was a member of South Heights Church of God where he served faithfully. He retired from Yarnell's Ice Cream Company and loved playing music in country, bluegrass and gospel bands. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elza and Elvin Pate; his wife, Avleene Reaper Pate and second wife, Norma Wood Pate. He is survived by his son, Keith Pate (wife Kathy) of Pangburn; a daughter, Twyla Land (husband Spencer) of Judsonia; two granddaughters, Karyl Hartsfield (husband Tommy) and Kris Turner (husband Royce) all of Pangburn; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler and Kari Hartsfield, Keaton and Kaleb Turner; stepson, Mitchell Wood (wife Marie); stepdaughters, Brenda Pruitt (husband Buddy) and Betty Smith (husband Gorman); six step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13th from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Searcy. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 14th, 10 a.m. at South Heights Church of God, Searcy.
