Vera Jane Carpenter Floyd

Vera Jane Carpenter Floyd, age 88, of Hazen, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born September 9, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Nathan and Anna Carpenter. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen. Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, of almost 50 years, Morris E. Floyd who died December 28, 2009 and two brothers, Howard and Roy Carpenter. She is survived by her only daughter, Bonnie Floyd Carpenter and her only grandchild, Richard Allen Carpenter II both of Hazen and two sisters, Shirley Sheppard of Florida and Barbra Seaton of Michigan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 21 at Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen.
