Brother Miles Tinsley King

Brother Miles Tinsley King, Scotland, Atk. was born December 12, 1932 at Morrison, Tennessee, the son of Warren and Gladys Miles King. He passed peacefully from this earthly life December 19, 2011 at his home surrounded by family members. Miles was a long time preacher of the church of Christ, having obeyed the gospel in Gadsden, Ala. at age 12 and remained faithful to his God and Lord Jesus until his death. Miles married Johnette Reynolds of Scotland on April 11, 1955 in Little Rock. He stood in the pulpit as long as he was able and preached his last sermon on September 4, 2011 at Cedar Creek church of Christ in Jerusalem, Atk. Miles was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Miriam, and brother, Neal. Miles leaves an adoring family. His faithful wife, Johnette; one brother, Charles (Pat), Troy, Texas; one sister, Joyce Land (Dale), Crockett, Texas; one brother-in-law, Vaughn Morris Reynolds (Maudine), Russellville, one sister-in-law, Loeta Acton, Scotland; two uncles, Frank Miles (Barbara), Jacksonville, AL & Buster Miles (Alice), Heflin, Ala.; two daughters, Jeannie Furr (Don), Scotland and Becky Baze (Terry), Mansfield, Texas; three grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-grandsons, two step-granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, and other family members, and a huge host of friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Terry Baze and Bro. Doug Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Mt.
