Mark Allen Goodwin

Mark Allen Goodwin, 42, beloved son of Kay Monk Goodwin and the late Ray Allen Goodwin, died of natural causes on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at home in Paragould. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: James A. and Laura M. Goodwin of Austin, Texas; aunt: Pam Davis Goodwin of Charleston, West Virginia; aunt and uncle: Linda and Mike Goodwin of Boerne, Texas; aunt: Linda Goodwin Seale of Bastrop, Texas; aunt and uncle: Lynn M. and Jim Monk of Little Rock, Arkansas and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray H. and Helen G. Goodwin and James and Birdie Monk. Mark graduated from Ridgecrest High School in 1988, attended Hendrix College and graduated from Arkansas State University. He played trombone in his high school band and was a member of the quiz bowl team. He had a keen sense of humor, a brilliant mind, and never met a stanger. Mark was a friend to all, animals and humans alike, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services are pending with Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.
