Edward John "Johnny" Linneman Jr.

Edward John "Johnny" Linneman Jr., age 72, of the Macedonia Community, died, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at his home. He was born January 9, 1939 in Jefferson County, a son of the late Ed Linneman Sr., and Emma Rose Zimmerman Linneman. Mr. Linneman served in the United States Army. He retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department, and was an American Red Cross volunteer. Mr. Linneman was Catholic. Mr. Linneman is survived by his wife, Linda Ashcraft Linneman of Macedonia, whom he married on May 26, 1961; two daughters, Leslie Linneman Findlay of Malvern, Vickie Linneman Thompson of Allen, Texas; one brother, Robert Linneman of Mabelvale; four sisters, Mary Jo Adams of Mabelvale, Frances Elmore and Louise Elmore, both of Little Rock, Dorothy Rye of Beebe; three grandchildren, Mitchell L. Cathey of Dallas, Texas, Kevin L. Cathey of Malvern, Meredith N. Thompson of Allen, Texas; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother James Wehunt officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., prior to service. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Prosperity Cemetery, 15610 Highway 35 South, Rison, Arkansas 71665 or the American Red Cross.
