Emma Leen Guthrie

Emma Leen Fox Guthrie, age 77, of England, formerly of Monticello, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 in England. She was born Feb. 10, 1934 in Monticello. She was the widow of Elmer Thomas Guthrie, whom she married on April 29, 1950. She was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Louis Fox and Helen Rash Fox and was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Lewis Fox and one grandson, Jarod Daniel Guthrie. Survivors include one son, Thomas Eugene Guthrie and wife, Katie of Rogers; two daughters, Constance (Connie) Albright and husband, John of England and Carolyn Diane Davis and husband, Ricky of Foley, Ala.; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel, burial in Wilson Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
