Hazel Viola Greer Stroud

Hazel Viola Greer Stroud, 88, of Benton died Monday, December 26, 2011 at Ridgewood Health Center. She was born on April 16, 1923 in Bauxite, Ark. to the late George T. and Julia Greer. Mrs. Stroud was a homemaker and a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, B. L. Stroud, five brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Jerry Greer and wife Janice of Traskwood; step-son Larry D. Stroud and wife Missy of Little Rock; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Bryant Cemetery officiated by Pastor Melvin Burris. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, December 28th at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church.
