Reverend Noah Moody, age 87, of Clinton, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, December 26, 2011 at his home. He was born March 27, 1924 in Arlberg, Arkansas to Harvey and Tabitha "Vitha" (Barnett) Moody. He was married to Jane Moody for 40 years. As a young man, he answered his countries call and served in World War II. He served in three campaigns Ardennes C. Europe, Rhineland, and Normandy Beach. He earned five Bronze Stars. Later in life he answered a higher calling and served as a Minister of the Baptist faith for over 59 years. He served as a pastor and preached at several local Baptist churches. He was a foreman for the State Highway Department at both Russellville and Clinton until his retirement at age 62. After retirement, he kept busy in politics and was involved in several campaigns and elections. He served on the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling in 1995-1996. He was a lifelong Democrat, a Mason, enjoyed playing baseball, grew huge gardens, and loved sharing and spending time with his family and friends. Reverend Moody is survived by two sons: Fletcher Moody and Dave (Cheryl) Moody of Russellville; step-son: James (Christene) Bagley of Formosa; step-daughter: Joyce (Frank) Holman of Lincoln; five grandchildren: Stephanie Ward, Nick Bagley, Jasa Gilbert, Devin Moody, and Kelly Hoffman; eight great-grandchildren: Kaleb Ward, Garrett Bagley, Gunnar Ward, Cort Bagley, Kinslee Bagley, Autmn Gilbert, Timothy Hoffman, and Tayler Hoffman, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife (who passed away earlier this year); four brothers: Cleo, Ernest, O'Neal, and Willard, and sister: Jewell Martin. A visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Roller McNutt Chapel in Clinton. Interment will follow at Half Moon Cemetery.
