Lila L. Avant

LILA CHURCH AVANT, 89, a life long resident of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010. Lila was a graduate of North Little Rock High School and Little Rock Junior College and UAMS. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Riley and Eola Beard Church; sister, Luvinia Church Montgomery; grandson, Cole Avant; husband, F. L. Avant. Lila was life long member of First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock and a member of the Choir. Lila was head of the Laboratory at Missouri Pacific Hospital before she retired. She is survived by her nieces, Lila Ann Barker and husband, Dannie of North Little Rock, Kim Montgomery of Houston, Texas; and great niece, Alexandra Clark.
