Opal Naylor Davis, age 87, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, January 2, 2011. Born August 16, 1923 at Pine Bluff, she was the daughter of the late Robert Oscar Naylor and Nancy Ann Giliam Naylor. Mrs. Davis was a Watson Chapel High School graduate and a member of Hardin Baptist Church. She led a very active life from her membership in the Order of the Eastern Star to performing as one of the Strummin' Seniors. She also worked in various fields throughout the years from making bombs at the arsenal during World War II, to being a private sitter into her 80's. Opal was preceded in death by a brother, George Naylor. She is survived by her sons Wayne Davis and wife Judy, and Jimmy Lee Davis and wife Diane; daughters, Joyce Ann Smith and husband Gary Don, and Laura Kaye Hughes and husband Jay; four brothers, Oliver, Bobby, James and Paul Naylor; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel, with Brother Albert Michaels officiating. Burial following in Memorial Park Cemetery.
