Loraine Jordan Cooney Moore

Loraine Jordan Cooney Moore of North Little Rock, Ark., departed this life December 31, 2010. She was born in Scott, Arkansas to Reverend Joseph Jordan, Sr. and Leola Wilson Richardson Jordan. Ms. Moore was a life-time member of the Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Moore retired after 35 years of teaching from the North Little Rock School District. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruth Richardson Mullins and Emma Jordan Robinson; three brothers, Rhodell & Jasper Richardson and Joseph Jordan Jr. and her husband Willie A. Moore. Survivors include two children: Michael (Janice) Cooney and Linda Cooney Parks both of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael, Kimberly, LaTonya, Christopher, and Andre; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; one special niece, Toni Robinson; seven nephews, Reverends Cliva B. and William L. Robinson, Barnett, Phillip, Reverend Joseph, III and Ronald Jordan; a special nephew, Charles E. Jordan; a beloved sister-in-law, Gladys Jordan and a host of grand nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 8, 2011, 11 a.m. at Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Jameel Wesley officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery. Family Hour will be held Friday, January 7, 2011, 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the building fund at Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church.
