Marion Jean Herold

Marion Jean Herold, born Jan. 26, 1923, at Rahway, New Jersey, died at home on Jan. 2, 2011. Jean, as she was known by her friends, grew up in Lancaster, Pa., and was married to Ted Herold on Dec. 3, 1942, who was the love of her life. The marriage was blessed by three children, Ted III, Linda, and Christy, seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. During the 70's the couple moved from Naperville. Ill., to Little Rock, Ark., where they stayed until their final move to St. Augustine, Fla., in 1984. Jean was a superb cook, a shark at bridge, a world traveler, she enjoyed 18 holes of golf, and her favorite moments were when she was entertaining friends, and spending time with her family. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2011, at the Craig Funeral Home, in St. Augustine, Fla., Rev. David Shokes officiating. In Lieu of flowers those wishing may make a donation in Jean's memory to the Community Hospice of NE Florida. Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial park is in charge of arrangements.
