Velma Louise Hutchins

Velma Louise Hutchins, 94 of NLR, passed away on January 3, 2011. She was born December 28, 1916 to Marvin and Molly Russell of Searcy, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hutchins and 12 siblings. She is survived by her sister, Vera Prickett; daughter, Pat Morris; son, Jerry Hutchins (Mona); four grandchildren, Tamhra and Scott Morris, Brett and Brittany Hutchins; great-grandchildren, James, Riley and Spencer Morris all of NLR. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakewood Nursing facility and Odyssey Hospice for the loving care she received. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendly Chapel, 116 South Pine Street, NLR or Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N. Shackelford, LR. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett, 5800 W. 12th Street, LR. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home with burial at Pinecrest Cemetery.
