Sandra Sue Byrom Walker

Sandra Sue Byrom Walker, 73, of El Dorado, went to be with her precious Savior and Heavenly Father Monday, January 3, 2011, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. Mrs. Walker was born March 8, 1937, in Durant, Oklahoma. She was the owner of Sandie's Showcase, an artist, a member of First Baptist Church where she was active with Samaritan's Purse, missions and the choir. One of the ways she showed her love for others was through her bread ministry. She was a special mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. Preceding her in death are her parents, Laverne and Rema Dell Farley Byrom; and her husband, Richard C. Walker Jr. Survivors include, two sons, Shawn Walker (Barbara) of Houston, Texas and Byrom Walker (Sherry) of El Dorado; daughter, Jo Walker Hines (Ron) of El Dorado. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Gordon, Cassie, Caitlin, Jonah, Noah, and Annalysse. A visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 6, at Young's. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, January 7, at First Baptist Church in El Dorado with Dr. Lynn Worthen officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas at 3,p.m. under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
