John Henry Milner Jr.

John Henry Milner Jr., age 79, of Prescott, Ark., passed away Jan. 4, 2011 in Hope, Ark. John was born Sept. 6, 1931 in Little Rock, Ark., to John Henry and Ruth Harrison Milner Sr. Mr. Milner retired from the City of Los Angeles Public Works Department and a United States Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Milner, and one sister, Ruth Barbara Milner. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Shavies Milner; a son, Larry Donell Milner; three daughters, Brenda J. Milner Moore, Jacqulyn A. Milner Smoak, all of Prescott and Lakiesha Milner Payne of Carson, Calif.; a brother, Thomas Lee Milner; five grandchildren, Lanier M. Milner, Larry D. Milner Jr., Lanise M. Milner, Jaiesha J. Hopson and Jada Payne; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler M. Marshall, Arnesto D. Milner, Jaylen Hopson, Tori JN Clark, Destiny Hopson, Jonah D. Whitcliff, D'Asi Hopson and special niece, Sheree D. Scott. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott with private family burial following the service.
