Ray Johnson, 79, of Cabot died Monday, January 10, 2011. He was born August 4, 1931 in Vilonia to the late Earl and Rosie Heslip Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired veteran having served in the United States Air Force during the two Korean wars. He then partnered with his brother and owned and operated Johnson Brothers Motors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as camping with friends and relatives. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brothers; Jessie Johnson, Floyd Johnson and Odell Johnson, and sisters; Alice Frie, Zora Ward and Eldean Justice. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Shirley Zinn Johnson, three sons; Scott Johnson of Cabot, Craig Johnson of Sherwood and Todd Johnson of Alexander, one daughter, Tracy Jackson of Georgetown, Texas and one sister, Dorothy Cypert of Sheridan. Mr. Johnson was blessed with 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Cypert officiating. Burial will follow at Sumner Cemetery.
