Shirley Ramona Russell

Shirley Ramona Russell, age 73, of Benton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Saline Memorial Hospice House. Shirley was born January 11, 1937 in St. Louis, Oklahoma to her late parents Thomas F. Johnson and Ida L. Williams. Shirley enjoyed gardening, bird watching and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Jerry Russell; two daughters, Donna Roberts of Nampa, Idaho and Linda Kemp of Maumelle, Ark.; one son, Jerry Russell, Jr. of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Joyce Johnson and Viola Johnson both of New Plymouth, Idaho, Wanda Nicholson of Nampa, Idaho, and Dell O'Dell of Wyandotte, Okla.; one brother, Howard Johnson of New Plymouth, Idaho; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Broyles, three brothers and one sister. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. (501) 455-1067 with Pastor Paul Sheets officiating.
