Wanda Mitchell Jones

Wanda Mitchell Jones, 93, passed away December 31, 2010 at Wood Presbyterian Home, Loudon, Tenn. Preceded in death by parents Moses and Dana Mitchell, husband, Richard M. Jones and sister, Juanita Keeton. Survived by daughter, Jerrine (Jim) Bogan, Loudon, Tenn.; son, Don (Kathy) Jones, Bella Vista, Ark.; granddaughters, Liz Molholt, Sierra Madre, Calif.; Holly Jones, Bella Vista; sister, Kathrine Magruder, Little Rock; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was a lifelong member of Pulaski Heights Methodist Church, Little Rock, where she served on the administrative staff and was active in both the Adult and Children's Church Schools. She also served on the administrative staff of Aldersgate Camp; as store manager of H.A. Bowman Company and was active in numerous Little Rock community and service organizations. Upon moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1989, she worked for the Bentonville Chamber of Commerce, then became the first employee of Northwest Arkansas Community College and served on the Selection Committee to hire the first President. Mrs. Jones served as church secretary and member of the Session Board of First Presbyterian Church, Bentonville before her retirement. Private interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander. Memorials may be sent to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, Little Rock, First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville or Aldersgate Camp, Little Rock.
