John Thomas Rawls

John Thomas Rawls, 73, of Higginson, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011. He was born Wednesday, December 1, 1937, in Fitzhugh, AR, to the late Herbert and Annie Rawls. He was a member of the Higginson United Methodist Church, the River Oaks Golf Club and was the former President and Secretary Treasurer of Southwest Water Association. He retired from Eaton Corp. after 43 ½ years and was an avid golfer and Arkansas Razorback fan. He is survived by his wife of 53 ½ years Barbara "Bobbie" Rawls of Higginson, Ark.; a daughter, Tina Miller and her husband, Mike, of O'Fallon, Mo.; grandson, Thomas; granddaughter, Molly; a brother, Robert Rawls and his wife, April, of Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister, Marie Stocks of Beebe, Ark. and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Mr. Rawls' funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2011, in the Chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Interment will be in White Co. Memorial Gardens.
