Thomas Anokye

Thomas Anokye, age 35, suddenly passed away on December 29, 2010. He was born on August 12th 1975 to Mr. Charles Bob Ekyem and Madam Comfort Mensah, at Offinso, Ghana, West Africa. He graduated from Wesley College, Kumasi, Ghana, with training as a professional teacher, and taught for three years at St. Cyprian's Anglican Secondary School, winning Best Teacher Award in his district in 2002. He later graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He was working towards a masters degree at the time of death. Thomas was a staunch member of the church of Christ, both in Ghana, and in Little Rock where he attended Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Thomas was a man of prayer and scrupulously religious. He was humble, respectful, generous, conscientious, and a man with pleasant smile. He married Janet Viney in 2004, and had three children, Robert (5), Ronny (4), and Roderick (1yr. 6 months). He was a wonderful husband and dedicated father. The family lived peacefully and happily together, until his untimely death. In addition his wife and children, he leaves to cherish his memory his mother and father, three brothers, Edward, Francis and Joseph Ekyem, and one sister, Martha Ekyem, as well as cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. May his Soul rest in peace with the Lord. Funeral service will be at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011, followed by burial at Heffington Cemetery, Enola, Arkansas.
