S.E. Buchanan

S.E. Buchanan, 67, of Hot Springs died Jan. 14, 2011. He was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Carlisle, Ark., to the late A.V. Buchanan and the late Thelma Roach Buchanan. He retired after 30 years as an Engineering Designer with Southwestern Bell and was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church. S.E. was known for being an encourager, his generosity, friendliness and being a man of integrity with high moral standards. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include wife, Martha Pritchard Buchanan of Hot Springs; children, Brian Buchanan and wife Liz of Rockwall, Texas, and Christy Buchanan Blackburn and husband Jim of Josephine, Texas; brother, Verne Buchanan and wife Barbara of Conway, Ark.; grandchildren, Lauren Peralez, Shelby, Blake and Sage Buchanan; and step-grandchildren, Coco and Jimmy Blackburn. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
