Clifford D. Baker

Clifford D. Baker, 85, of Eudora, Ark., died January 15, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, La. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Newellton First Baptist Church, Newellton, La. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. with Memorial service at 11 a.m. Mr. Baker was born September 5, 1925 in Branaugh, Missouri, to Cliffard and Clara Baker. Mr. Baker served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and afterward served as a flight instructor for the military. In 1955 he moved to Eudora, Arkansas where he owned and operated Baker Flying Service for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Virginia Warren Baker and his son Michael Baker. He is survived by his children, Lynne Baker Loftin of Zachery, La., Joan Pridemore and husband Glen of Willard Mo., Wendy Baker Conrad of North Little Rock, Ark., Dennis Baker and wife Ricca of Dunkirk, Md. Bobby Baker and wife Shelly of Newellton, La., and David Baker and his wife Deborah of Mount Pleasant Iowa. Mr. Baker also leaves two sisters, Vera Baker Koen and June Baker Dennis of Missouri, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
