William "Billy" Rittman, 73, of Conway, passed away January 16, 2011, at his home. He was born May 22, 1937, in Stuttgart, Ark. to the late Fred and Verona Rittman. He was a member of the Teer Deer Club, in Sheridan, since 1982 and a member of the Hall of Euclid Lodge No. 130, F&AM, in Stuttgart, where he became a Grand Master in 1972. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he played football. Billy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, in Conway, where he was a faithful participant in prayer ministries and taught the Slinkard Sunday School Class. He was a devoted family man and loving grandfather. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Rittman Jr., Lee Rittman and Leland Rittman; and one sister, Minnie Lee. Billy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Jean Rittman; Allen Rittman and his wife, Susan, of Conway; two grandchildren, Josh and Erin Rittman; one sister, Allen Lammers of Stuttgart and a whole host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Mr. Rittman's funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Grace United Methodist Church, with Rev. Greg Comer and Rev. David Hawkins officiating.
