Ezra Floyd Kytle, 87, of Denton, Texas, formerly of Lavaca, Ark. entered into rest on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Denton, Texas. He was born August 4, 1923 in Melbourne, Ark. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lavaca, a retired Army Major who served in WWII and the Korean Conflict, and a retired superintendent of schools for 14 years at Lavaca Public Schools. He was a member of Arkansas Military Association Westark Chapter, the Mason Lodge #271 in Bearden, Ark., Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, past Grand Counselor UCT of Arkansas, past President Eastside Sertoma, past member of Sebastian County School Board, past Vice-president Western Arkansas School Administration, past president of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity UA-Fayetteville, past member of fraternity counsel UA -Fayetteville. He was the special education coordinator and founder of Ozark Valley Special Education Corp from 1978-1988, superintendent of schools at Bearden, Ark. from 1962-1964, Paren, Ark. from 1958-1962 and Hazen, Ark. from 1955-1958. He was preceded in death by his parents Squire Wilson and Mary Sue Kytle, his wife Martha Lou Kytle, his brothers, Earl Kytle, Jasper "Jack" Kytle, Philip Kytle, and Theo "Doc" Kytle and his sister Merrill Rudeen "Ruby" Harber. He is survived by his two daughters, Paula J. Warren and Shela A. Franks of Denton, Texas, his grandson Timothy J. and his wife Tessa C. Warren of Irving, Texas and his sister Loys Minge of Derby, Kansas. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Lavaca, Ark. with interment at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. with military honors. Family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2011 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, Ark. Pallbearers will be Hugh Hardgrave, Dewayne Glidewell, Arnold Sexton, Jim Bean, Kenny Hobbs and Dale Amos. Memorials may be made to Lavaca Senior Center, P.O.
