Harlan Garth Kickhoefer, 67, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died Sunday, January 16, 2011. He was born February 24, 1943 in Wausau, WI, to Harlan and Janet Kercher Kickhoefer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Harlan enjoyed traveling, playing with his beloved Havanese dog, J-Lo, golfing with all his Diamante buddies, and even a round or two with Sandy. He was an active member of Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, AR. Harlan was also a well-respected businessman. He was president and owner of Sales Southwest, Inc. in Dallas, TX for more than 30 years. Later he became a consultant for Pinnacle Sales & Merchandising before becoming an associate with EuroAmerican Sales & Marketing. Harlan was also a very active member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his parents. Harlan is survived by his wife Sandy Kickhoefer of Hot Springs Village and their four children and 10 grandchildren; daughter, Tracy Gilleland of Duluth, Ga. and her daughter Danielle Cowart; sons, Harlan (Vanessa) Kickhoefer of Parkland, Fla. and their children Connor, Josh, Alana, and Erin, Brian (Laura) Kickhoefer of San Antonio, Texas, and their children Kelsey, Kourtney, and Kacey, and Bart (Betty) Kickhoefer of Cleburne, Texas, and their children Carrolline and Cullen. Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter "Bubba" Smith officiating. Guests may register at http://www.caruth-hale.com.
