Madine Betty Moss

Madine Betty Moss, age 93, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011. She was born August 6, 1917 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, a daughter of the late James Davis and Mary Ann Hawkins. She was the widow of Herman Thomas Moss and a retired teacher of 12 years at Wonderview Public Schools and 10 years at Plummerville Public Schools. Madine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conway, a member for over 50 years of Delta Kappa Gamma, member of Arkansas Education Associations, lifetime member of the Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the Conway County Extension Club. Survivors include two sons, Mike (Anne) Moss of Cabot, Ed Moss of Conway; two daughters, Patricia Moss of Tucson, Arizona, and Rebecca Lynn Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Leanne (John) Bradley of Cave City, Michelle Patterson of Dripping Springs, Texas, Jennifer Anne (Joey) Cobble of Ft. Worth, Texas, Brandon Moss of St. Louis, Missouri, Ginny Moss of Little Rock, Hannon Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jeff (Charlotte) Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Morrilton with Dr. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
