Lydia "Litty" Brown

Lydia "Litty" M. Hunthrop Brown, 85, of Little Rock, a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and one of God's angels went home to rest. She was born October 2, 1925 in North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas and passed away at 11:50 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011 at her home in Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Hunthrop, former pastor and co-founder of Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church, her mother, Emma Griebel Hunthrop of Woodson, her husband, Ira "Doc" Brown (married August 6, 1949), three brothers, Carl T., George W. and Henry "Hank" L. Hunthrop and one sister, Alice Marie Hunthrop all of North Little Rock, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Litty and Doc have two daughters, Vickie Brown of Little Rock and Lisa Rateliff of Conway, five grandchildren, Sherry L. Cameron (Howard) of Bauxite, Steven L. Patterson (Malea) of Mabelvale, Chad E. Patterson (Shelley) of Redfield, Kristin Mann (Brett) and Matthew Rateliff (Shawn) of Conway, six great-grandchildren, Joshua Cameron and Bradley Cameron of Bauxite, Kristen Patterson and Destiny Patterson of Mabelvale, Gracie Lydia Patterson and Lauren Patterson of Redfield. She showed us how to love - I Corinthians 13:4-7. Litty is a former member of the Eastern Star in Redfield and a former president of the Women's Home Demonstration Club of Woodson, Hensley and Redfield. She is a member of the River of Life Assembly of God Church in Little Rock. Litty was a clerk in Dan Brown's grocery located in Woodson for over twenty years and also worked for 18 years at Pulaski County Medical Exchange. Family visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, Ark. 501-661-9111. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday the 21st also at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Minnick officiating. Interment will follow in Woodson Cemetery. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Doc. The family will meet after the services at Mrs. Brown's former home in Little Rock.
