Gregory Harold Matthews

Gregory Harold Matthews, 61, of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was a small business owner and a member of the Moose Lodge, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Jacinto Lodge in Jacksonville and Scimitar Schriners Temple. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Matthews; two sons, Mickey Matthews and wife, Kate, of Little Rock, Robby Matthews of Jacksonville; mother, Thelma Matthews of Hot Springs; sister, Angie Griggs and husband, Fil, of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Waylon and Tyler Matthews both of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Matthews and two brothers, Michael and Joe Allen. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Robert Lehmberg and nursing staff at the V.A. Hospice unit. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Donor's choice. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday at Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Cato Social Club.
