Reba Harris Ford

Reba Harris Ford, 80, a resident of Russellville, died Thursday, January 20, 2011. She was born October 14, 1930, at Russellville to Boss and Mattie Roberts Harris. She was a member of the Russellville Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church at Russellville. She helped her husband for many years in their upholstery shop, Ideal Upholstery, that they opened in 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Amy Linton, Opal Bunton, Vera Taylor, and Pearl Sparks; and a brother, George Harris. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Granville Ford Jr. of Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Lee Griffith of Russellville; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Cheryl Ford of Hoschton, Georgia; a sister, Floy Clemons of Grand Prarie, Texas; two grandsons, Barry Griffith and his wife, Kim, of Tampa, Florida and Matthew Griffith of Greenwood; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Griffith of Tampa, Florida and Grayson Griffith of Greenwood. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers will be David Deavers, Blake Wilson, Ronnie Ford, Barry Sparks, Rodney Sparks, and Bob Wilson. Honorary pallbears will be the senior adult Berean Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and Dr. Robert Thurlby and the staff at the Millard-Henry Clinic at Dover. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
