Karen Sue (Gangluff) Howe

KAREN SUE (GANGLUFF) HOWE, 49, of Sherwood passed away Jan. 18, 2011, after a long battle with leukemia. She was born on Jan. 5, 1962 in Little Rock, Ark. the daughter of Edmund and Ann Gangluff. She was valedictorian of the class of 1980 of Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock, Ark. and a summa cum laude graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dr. Laurence J. Howe; daughter, Lauren Howe of Denver, Colo.; sons, Edmund Howe of Memphis, Tenn. and Thomas Howe of Sherwood; parents, Edmund and Ann Gangluff of Mabelvale; sisters, Joyce Hood (John) of Mabelvale, Sherry Burgener (Richard) of Conway, Carol Kordsmeier (Brian) of Benton; brothers, Steven Gangluff of Little Rock, and Randy Gangluff (Alexandra) of Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m., Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m., Sunday followed by a Rosary service at 6 p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
